THE
VIDEOTAPE/CD MUST CONTAIN
1.
An introduction
(not to exceed 3 minutes) which must include the following: A description of
the lesson, subject, instructional strategy (direct instruction, cooperative learning,
mediated learning, etc.); the setting (school size, student level(s),
community), class composition (gifted, special needs, bilingual).
2.
The lesson itself
(not to exceed 30 minutes).
3.
A reflective
analysis (not to exceed 8 minutes).

Only
full-size formatted VHS tapes are acceptable. All tapes/CDs and materials become the
property of MATE
4.
Videotape/CD and
mailing case should be clearly marked with the name, address, and telephone
number of the entrant.
5.
To assist in the
objective evaluation of each entrant, no indication of university or college
affiliation should be contained in the introduction, recorded lesson,
reflection or written portions except where this information is specifically
requested. Entries from intern
(multiple semesters) programs must be received within the first 16 weeks of
actual teaching.
